HS Fall Play

The Shenandoah High School Fall Play will be performed on November 13 and 14 at 7:00 PM and November 15 at 2:00 PM in the Shenandoah High School auditorium. Tickets are on sale now at shenmusical.ludus.com. Don't miss this intense, emotional story!

Synopsis: Based on a true story, Elephant’s Graveyard transports audiences to a small Tennessee town in September 1916, where a struggling traveling circus arrives with its collection of performers and animals, including Mary, a beloved circus elephant. When a tragic incident sparks fear, anger, and public outrage, the circus and the townspeople find themselves caught in a heartbreaking chain of events. Blending historical fact with theatrical storytelling, this powerful drama explores the dangers of mob mentality, the human hunger for spectacle, and the devastating consequences of fear, misunderstanding, and revenge. Elephant’s Graveyard challenges audiences to consider how quickly public opinion can turn—and the lasting impact of a community’s choices.
