Shenandoah HS Ranked #13 Best HS in Iowa

Shenandoah Community School District is proud to announce that Shenandoah High School has been ranked the 13th Best High School in Iowa, by U.S. News & World Report, in its 2026 Best High Schools rankings.

The ranking makes Shenandoah High School the highest-ranked high school in Southwest Iowa, a distinction the district credits to the hard work of its students, faculty, and staff.

U.S. News evaluates schools based on college readiness, state assessment performance, and student outcomes. Shenandoah's math, reading, and science proficiency scores all came in above the state average, reflecting strong and consistent academic performance across subject areas.

After coming in #22 a year ago (and 58th in 2024), this new ranking shows the Shenandoah Community School District is committed to providing a high-quality education for all students and will continue building on this momentum in the years ahead.
