Jean Fichter, President
Jean is originally from LeMars, Iowa and graduated from LeMars Community High School. She is married with three children and two daughters in law. Jean graduated from Iowa State University in Family and Consumer Sciences Education. Jean was previously employed by The Principal Financial Group for 10 years in a management role. Currently she is a member and leader of various community and church organizations. She has been an AFS Liaison for 5 years and was on the Athletic Booster Club for 8 years. Jean is thankful for the opportunity to serve on the board of directors for the Shenandoah Community Schools.
Adam Van Der Vliet, Vice President
Adam is originally from Sheldon, IA and graduated from Sheldon Community High School in 2001. Adam is married to Jennifer (Mabary) and they have two boys Ryker and Jansen. Adam graduated from Northwest Iowa Community College with an Associate of Arts Degree and Kirkwood Community Community College with an Associate of Applied Science Degree in Golf Course and Turf-grass Management. Adam has been employed with the City of Red Oak since 2009. Adam is a member of the Shenandoah Elks Lodge #1122, the Shenandoah Athletic Booster Club and was elected to the school board in 2017.

Darrin Bouray
Darrin is the Vice President, Loan Officer at Bank Iowa in Shenandoah. Darrin grew up on a farm outside a small community in north-central Kansas and went to high school in south-central Nebraska. He has his degree in Agribusiness from the University of Nebraska, Kearney. Darrin has lived in southwest Iowa for almost 10 years. He is the treasurer of the Turnbull Child Development Center Board and treasurer of the Men's Golf Committee at the American Legion Country Club. Darrin was elected to the School Board in November 2019.
Jeff Hiser
Jeff Hiser is a graduate of Shenandoah High School, received his Bachelor's in Elementary Education from Northwest Missouri State University, and obtained his Master's in Education Administration K-12, Advanced Studies - Superintendent from the University of Northern Iowa. He taught and coached in the Farragut and Shenandoah districts before becoming an administrator in Perry, Stanton, and Shenandoah. Jeff has also served the City of Shenandoah as a police officer, volunteer firefighter, mayor, and city councilman. Currently, Jeff is a member of the Elks Lodge, an Adjudicator for the Iowa High School Musical Theatre, and active with the Southwest Iowa Theatre Group in several capacities. He was elected to the School Board in November 2019.
Kathy Langley
Kathy grew up in New York and holds a Bachelor's degree from the State University of New York at Albany. She is married to Jack Langley and is the mother of four Shenandoah High School graduates, Stephen, Sarah, Hannah, and Daniel. Kathy is the Activity Coordinator for the Memory Care Unit of Windsor Manor Assisted Living. She and her husband have called Shenandoah home for over twenty years. She had served previously on the school board to fill an unexpected vacancy. Kathy was elected to the school board in 2017.
