JK-8 Weekly Update
JK-8 Families-- This week was a full week!
We kicked the week off with an excellent keynote speaker for our 7th-12th graders. If you have a 7th or 8th grader, if you haven't already heard about it, please make sure to check with them about Coach Kush's message.
Tuesday our 7th and 8th grade boys basketball teams started their season with wins over Maryville! We wish them the best of luck throughout their season.
Thursday our 4th graders did a tremendous job with their musical performance honoring veterans! That was followed up on Friday with the 5th-8th graders, along with the high schoolers, participating in our district Veterans Day program. Thank you to Mr. Jones and the 7th and 8th grade band for sharing their amazing musical abilities with us, the community, and veterans!
If you didn't know, this upcoming week is American Education Week. We celebrate all those who play a vital role in our public education settings. If you have an opportunity to say "Thank You" to anyone who works in our district this week, please do!
A couple of reminders:
1) Tuesday, Nov 14, is Bingo for Books Night with any PK-4th grade student/family. This will be held in our K8 Commons with a FREE hotdog meal from 6-6:30 and we will play Bingo from 6:30-7:30. Each winner will get a chance to pick out a book (or more) to take home and add to their home library.
2) We will not have school on Thursday, Nov 24 or Friday, Nov 25 for the Thanksgiving break.
