Weekly Update May 22
JK-8 Families-- We are headed down the home straight! This is the last week of school and I hope it is a great one! Although this might be exciting for some, others might be wishing for more... either way, know that your students have done a great job this year and we are proud of them!
This week will be filled with celebrations and classroom parties, emptying lockers, bags full of the year's activities, etc. A few grade levels still have plans to visit the park or have a class picnic or have games planned. The 5th and 6th grade have their track and field day on Tuesday afternoon and the 8th graders will get their last fun K-8 event with our annual bowling party on Tuesday afternoon as well.
Don't forget that both WEDNESDAY AND THURSDAY WILL BE 1:25 EARLY DISMISSAL days.
I hope you all have big plans for the summer but try to build in some educational components too. Make sure they keep reading! Any amount of time is better than nothing. Keep them engaged with games or trips to a museum or the zoo, have some fun and enjoy your family time!
I hope you all have a safe and healthy summer!
As always, don't forget to check out our school website (www.shencsd.com) or Facebook page (www.facebook.com/shenpk8) to keep up with what we are doing here at school.
If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to reach out to me. Thanks and have a great week! --Mr. Burdorf #horsepower
