Weekly Update May 1
JK-8 Families-- We are turning the calendar to May, the year has flown by! We have seen some amazing growth and we will continue to push through to the end. It may be hard to keep the focus but we will do our part each day to make an impact on our students!
One of our constant challenges this year has been behaviors. Each day we try to recognize those who are being awesome, but sometimes we don't get to tell them nearly enough. As you may know, each month we name a student of the month from all the elementary homerooms plus one each from each of the middle school grade levels. This month we are going even bigger to recognize even more students who are doing the right things and being great students. The next three weeks, we will be having students of the week being named by staff members from the classrooms, specials, electives, special education, title teachers, and a few others. I am hopeful that we will recognize way more awesomeness and end the year on a high note for way more students!
Although the weather didn't cooperate, we were able to get most of the PTO track meet in. Thank you to all the staff and parents who helped us put on a great event! It is always great to see our students out there competing and having fun. Hopefully we will get better weather next year!
Thank you to everyone who helped out the Middle School Student Council by participating in the E-cylce event out at Pella. The total of generous donations came out to $1,718.73! The student council will work to come up with some great ideas on how that can be used here at school, thank you so much for your donations!
