Weekly Update April 17
JK-8 Families-- I hope you have enjoyed your three day weekend! Weekends like this are great as they give us a chance to just stop and refresh or make memories with family and friends. It also gives us a chance to prepare for the last six weeks of school, which will fly by!
I don't know how your student(s) reacted to The Pancake Man but I would say it was an overall success here at school. It was great to see the kids all enjoying themselves during lunch, cheering on the staff catching flying pancakes, and the staff interacting with the students together at the lunch tables! The smiles made it all worth it! Again, thank you the K-8 PTO for paying for this event to happen!
JK and Kindergarten Families-- Reminder that Friday, April 22 is Kindergarten Round-up day so there will be NO SCHOOL for any JK or K student on Friday. We will be having incoming students in the building all day so enjoy the day off!
Monday, 7th and 8th graders will be getting a form to fill out for Elective Classes. They need to bring this home, get it signed and bring it back by Friday. This will help us start to build schedules for next year. I have attached the Elective Catalog.
7th and 8th grade boys will be having a basketball meeting on Friday, April 22 at 7:35 in the High School Library. If your student can't make it, Coach Spiegel or Mr. Weinrich will get in contact with them.
Tuesday, we host our first Middle School track meet of the year and it is also McTeacher Night at McDonalds (4-8pm). Get out and support both of these things!
If your students or families are interested, the SHS Student Council will be selling Pura Vida bracelets Tuesday morning at the K8 building! The stranded version (maroon, white, and blue) is $5 and the braided style (maroon, white, and gray) is $8. Bracelets are waterproof and have an adjustable band.
