Weekly Update April 10

JK-8 Families--  This past week we administered the state assigned ISASP tests to our 3rd through 8th graders.  As you may know, this can be a stressful week for our students and staff.  The preparation that goes into being ready for the tests, to getting all the tests prepared for the students, to the overall administration of the tests is demanding.  I want to say "thank you" to all our students who took the testing seriously and tried their hardest.  I also want to say "thank you" to our staff who prepared the students and got all the materials ready to go.  All of this can be very time consuming!  Although we have some students who need to finish or make up portions of the testing, this week went pretty smoothly and we look forward to seeing our results in the upcoming weeks.

As a bit of a fun activity, Wednesday all of our K-8 building will be having breakfast for lunch, served by the Pancake Man.  If you haven't ever experienced him before, he makes the serving "eventful" with how many pancakes he makes in a very short amount of time along with some "tossing" some pancakes around the room.  We want to give another big "thank you" to our PTO who is paying for this to happen, hopefully it will be a memorable experience for our students and staff.

Just a reminder that this week will be a short week with NO SCHOOL on Friday.

Last week, I sent out information about the PTO Track Meet.  The date in the title was correct, Saturday, April 30 so make sure you are getting those registration forms in!

Upcoming events:

April 13 Pancake Man will be serving JK-8 Lunch (pancakes and sausage) provided by the PTO
