Weekly Update April 3
JK-8 Families-- As we enter the last two months of the school year, this might be the hardest stretch each year. The sun is out, everything is greening up, outdoor activities have started, and it is easier to stay up a little later because of the longer daylight hours. Everyone becomes a bit restless thinking about summer.
All that being said, this might be a good time to have a conversation with your student(s) to finish the year out strong! Remind them to stay focused during the day so they can enjoy those after school activities. Reminding them that they have come this far, let's not mess it up now! Stay positive and optimistic, put forth a great effort!
This week we will be administering the state ISASP tests for our 3rd-8th graders. As I sent out in a previous email, please make sure that your student(s) are getting a good night's sleep. We will be providing breakfast for them, here at school, to get their energy up before we start the testing each day. Lastly, please make sure their computers are charged!
8th grade families, please make sure you are getting your baby pictures turned in to Mrs. Perry (perryc@shencsd.com or the student can bring in the picture) for the 8th grade slideshow!
