Welcome! Kindergarten is a milestone in your child™s life and we are so happy that you have chosen Shenandoah CSD for your child™s educational experience. Kindergarten is not only the beginning of your son/daughter™s first formal education, it is also the first step toward life-long learning and social participation. We look forward to partnering with you in this lifetime adventure.
New experiences and friendships will make the year a special time for you and your child. There are many things that you can do to help your child adjust easily and eagerly for their kindergarten experience. Your child has a natural curiosity of learning and every first-hand experience can teach important lessons.
We are sure that your child will be feeling excited but also anxious anticipating the upcoming school year. They will seek your approval of activities and ideas, be quick to praise them! Your enthusiasm and involvement will help make the kindergarten year a wonderful time for both of you. Take advantage of the privilege to be part of this journey.
We realize that you may have many questions about the kindergarten program and we would like to help answer them. The first step in the process will be coming to Kindergarten Round Up on Friday, April 22. We will have a parent meeting along with having the students spend some time in classrooms getting to know the environment and their future teachers. There will be NO PRESCHOOL on April 22.
We will be having three sessions and you need to sign up for one of those sessions. The times will be from 9-10:30AM, 1-2:30PM, or 4:30-6PM. Please call OR email Mrs. Anita Baker (elementary secretary) at firstname.lastname@example.org to sign up for a time. If one of these times will not work for you, please let us know.
If you have any questions, please don™t hesitate to call. We are looking forward to forming a partnership with you this year and for years to come. Welcome to Shenandoah Community School District!
