Weekly Update Jan 16
JK-8 Families-- I hope you have been able to dig out and possibly even enjoy the snow. Today and tomorrow would be great days to have the kids get out to play in the snow and sun.
As a reminder, there is NO SCHOOL tomorrow, Monday, January 17. This is a professional development day for our staff.
This last week, we saw a lot of sickness in our JK-8 building. If your child isn't feeling well, please know that we will understand if you keep them home. Remember that students should be fever free for 24-hours before returning to school. Please make sure to call in if you plan to keep your student home and know that our secretaries will be asking you to describe symptoms as we are trying to keep track of what everyone is ill with. This helps us monitor the conditions of classrooms and we are also required to report Covid numbers.
With all that being said, know that we are working really hard to keep the building clean and keep students healthy. We do disinfectant fog our classrooms twice a week and wipe down heavily touched surfaces numerous times per day. If you could please remind your students to make sure they are washing their hands regularly, that would be greatly appreciated.
Also, with the return from break we have noticed that some students have lost or aren't bringing their water bottles. The drinking fountains are not on but our filling stations are open. Please make sure your student is bringing their water bottle to school each day.
