Weekly Update Sept 6
JK-8 Families-- I hope you have been able to enjoy your extended weekend and recharged for the upcoming week. It has been great to be out and about through the building and seeing all the students engaged.
As our students and staff are settling into their new routines, there might be things that come home with your students either as work or messages. Please make sure you are checking their bags each night and having conversations with them about their day.
This upcoming week we will see our middle school sports teams starting their games and I am sure youth sports schedules are starting as well. Help your students out by making sure they are staying hydrated here at school and getting a good night sleep.
Next week we will be celebrating Homecoming week! It starts with a Color Run on Sunday afternoon and then we will have dress-up days all week. If you haven't gotten a chance to participate in a Color Run before, I would encourage you to participate on Sunday, Sept 12. It is just a short little course (about 1 mile) and the kids (especially the younger one) have a blast! After the run, there is a free-will donation grill out put on by the Shenandoah Athletic Booster Club before the High Schoolers play their Powerpuff Football games. All those activities are held down at Mustang Field.
I will send out information about dress-up days as soon as they are finalized, hopefully on Tuesday.

Tuesday: MS XC @ Clarinda
Wednesday: Early Out 1:25
Thursday: 7th VB @ Home vs Clarinda, 8th VB @ Clarinda, MS FB @ SW Valley

Let's have another great week! If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to reach out to me. Thank you! --Mr. Burdorf #horsepower
