Bopp Fan & Pick Kagan structure for Multiplication
The students were reviewing multiplication concepts and solving problems mentally by explaining how they used the Distributive Property of Multiplication or other strategies. In Fan and Pick they have roles they rotate through on each question.
Fan - one person fans out the cards for teammate
Pick - this person picks a card and reads it aloud
Answer - this teammate answers the question or solves the problem
Respond - this teammate praises or coaches the person who answered the question
Then kids rotate roles until all the cards have been discussed as time allows
